The tandem has to hang from the ceiling.  To get it in or out, the other bikes have to be removed.  Bolted to the ceiling is a hoist mechanisim, that makes the lift a one person job.  Getting it out of the porch requires tipping it on its side, at 1 meter locknut to locknut, the front beam is wider than the doorway.
